THE HOPE OF GLORY
COLOSSIANS 1:27 (NASB) “to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
“Is THE HOPE OF MY GLORY something that will only be realized when you come to Heaven? If that were the case, why wouldn’t I take you to Heaven immediately after you were saved so that you could experience the fullness of My GLORY? The POWER of My Son’s PERFECT life, COSTLY sacrifice, and GLORIOUS resurrection caused the FULL WEIGHT OF MY GLORY to rest on Him. Jesus now dwells in you in the FULLNESS OF HIS GLORY and as you SURRENDER to the Holy Spirit’s TRANSFORMATION process, that GLORY is being made MANIFEST in you.”

ReplyDeleteChrist in us the hope of Glory. I was thinking of 2 PET 1:14 where Peter knows it is time for Him to die. The way he says this is actually very profound. He is going to put off his TABERNACLE . God's Tabernacle was the presence of the Holy Spirit on earth and traveled whereever His people were. The tabernacle we live in contains the Holy Spirit and He travels with us wherever we go! o.e.

At times the Glory is described as a cloud and many prophets have been talking about this cloud.Even way back with Jeremiah o.e.

Meaning and Origin
The term “Shekinah” comes from the Hebrew root shakan, meaning “to dwell” or “to reside,” and signifies God’s presence taking up residence among humanity. While the word itself does not appear in the Bible, it is found in post-biblical Jewish writings, such as the Targums and Talmud, and was later adopted by Christians to describe God’s visible glory on earth The phrase “Shekinah glory” symbolizes God’s divine presence made tangible and perceptible to human senses.
Biblical Manifestations
In the Old Testament, God’s presence is often depicted through supernatural light, fire, or clouds:
• Pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night guided the Israelites during the Exodus, representing God’s leadership and protection (Exodus 13:21-22) and His dwelling among His people.
• The tabernacle and the Temple were filled with the glory of the Lord, often described as a cloud that prevented entry due to its overwhelming holiness (Exodus 40:34-38; 1 Kings 8:10-11)
• Mount Sinai was covered by the glory of the Lord, appearing as consuming fire, emphasizing God’s majesty and power (Exodus 24:16-18)
• These manifestations were not merely symbolic; they communicated God’s presence, guidance, and covenantal relationship with His people.
Theological Significance
• The Shekinah glory underscores several key theological points:
• God’s Immanence: It illustrates that God is not distant but dwells among His people, actively participating in their lives
• Divine Holiness: The overwhelming nature of the glory, often preventing human approach, highlights God’s holiness and the reverence due to Him
• Guidance and Protection: The visible manifestations, such as the cloud and fire, provided assurance, direction, and protection for Israel during their journeys
Summary
In essence, the Shekinah glory of God represents the tangible, visible presence of God on earth. Though the term is extra-biblical, the concept is deeply rooted in Scripture, portraying God’s dwelling, guidance, and majestic holiness through clouds, fire, and radiant light, particularly in the tabernacle, the Temple, and during pivotal moments in Israel’s history.

Imagine taking a few Bible verses on human sexuality as literal divine commands from God for all society, but minimizing 2,000+ verses calling for the care of immigrants, the marginalized, the oppressed, and the poor to be a personal choice.

Are you planning to invite any migrants into your home? Or even the homeless guy down the street? How about helping a woman in a crisis pregnancy? And those sexual morals you think are so unimportant? Tell that to the porno addict and the people he hurts. Or the young person emotionally betrayed by an intimate partner they thought was committed.

For the Iran Peace Deal with America Is Still Being Worked Out for there are So Many Pieces to the Puzzle that Are Being Worked Out! For My Army of Light Your Prayers Are Working Mightily for without them Iran would not be in these discussions~but with your prayers have brought the needed mindset of working together. But what is causing problems are the journalists covering these talks that are So Negative against My David! For soon the mouths of liars and schemers will be Shut and they will no longer be able to Manipulate the Truth! DeleteArmy of Light, would you pray with me for a man I ran into tonight who told me about his really bad arthritis pain? He said he thinks there are better treatments than what he's gotten, but that they are hidden from us. I agreed. I said I prayed for him to find relief and better answers. I don't know how to pray over people for healing. I pray I learn - soon! - and gain the confidence to do so when situations like this arise.
