STAND

“My hand is moving, it is stirring the atmosphere over your Nation to uncover every pocket of wickedness and resistance to righteousness.  All the plans of the enemy have gone too far, and they have only exposed their dangerous agenda and who they really are.  Their schemes will all be turned against them, and they will go down in defeat.  Do not take the bait of fear or intimidation but trust that I AM moving and that I have given your leaders wisdom and authority to deal with every scheme of the enemy.  Continue to stand with righteousness and battle with Me while looking forward to peace and unity flooding your land.  Your standing firm in the Spirit strengthens others with courage as well.”

    GOD’S ARMY OF LIGHT’S™ FIRST ANNUAL EVENT - 2026
    “THE CART BEFORE THE LORD”
Wally Land Parking Lot — After Hours
An evening of faith, fellowship, questionable wagering, and two shopping carts traveling at speeds never before approved by the Produce Department.

    WALLY LAND — SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
GOD’S ARMY OF LIGHT’S™ FIRST ANNUAL EVENT: WHERE THE SPIRIT WAS WILLING, THE FLESH WAS TIRED, AND THE SHOPPING CARTS WERE UNINSURED.

    Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
Tonight’s historic event was held after hours in the Wally Land parking lot, where faith met fellowship, fellowship met funnel cake, and somebody discovered that a Ferris wheel looks remarkably like a giant prayer request going in circles.
The festivities included a roller coaster, a Ferris Wheel, a penny arcade, a petting zoo, food, games, entertainment, and enough excitement to make the church prayer chain light up like a Christmas tree.

But the evening’s undisputed main attraction?
    THE INDOOR SHOPPING CART RACE!
Two distinguished senior ladies, Deborah and TPP, would go wheel-to-wheel in the most anticipated sporting event since David defeated Goliath—except this time, the giant was inflation, the slingshot was a shopping cart, and the ammunition was organic peanut butter.
The race promised speed, strategy, spiritual warfare, and a strong possibility of someone shouting, “WHO PUT THE CABBAGE IN MY LANE?”
And now, ladies and gentlemen, let us meet the officials responsible for this magnificent display of organized confusion.

πŸ‘‘ DIANA: GRAND MASTER OF CEREMONIES, SUPREME COMMANDER OF RACE CONTROL, AND DIRECTOR OF WHEEL-BASED DESTINY
Diana presided over the proceedings with the authority of a woman who could silence a room with one eyebrow and make a grown adult confess to eating the last cookie without asking a single question.
Her official title was so long that it required its own name tag, lanyard, and a brief intermission.
She was responsible for enforcing the rules, maintaining order, monitoring the drivers, and ensuring that nobody attempted to claim divine intervention as an excuse for cutting through the frozen-food aisle.
“Ladies,” Diana announced, gripping her microphone, “this is a race of character, courage, and quality groceries. We are here to glorify God, exercise good judgment, and select food that will not require a lawyer to interpret the ingredients.”
    She paused.
“And if I catch anyone smuggling a candy bar into the cart under the cover of prayer, I WILL KNOW.”
    The crowd gasped.
    Somewhere, a chocolate-covered pretzel trembled.
    Diana had spoken.
    The law was established.
    The atmosphere was electric.
And the shopping carts were still locked.

πŸ’° PATTY: CHIEF ODDSMAKER, OFFICIAL EVENT BOOKIE, AND OVERSEER OF THE SPREADSHEET
Patty, the event’s meticulous bookie, arrived armed with a calculator, a clipboard, a sharpened pencil, and the kind of organizational energy normally reserved for the IRS.
Her assignment was simple in theory and absolutely ridiculous in practice.
For a mere $5 Pre-Race Wager, contestants had to guess the total value of the contents of BOTH shopping carts combined—without ever seeing a single item inside either cart.
The winner would receive the contents of the carts.
    Yes, the actual groceries.
It was the first known gambling operation in which the prize might include quinoa, canned beans, frozen broccoli, and a jar of something labeled “Ancient Grain Medley” that nobody could pronounce.
Patty explained the rules with a straight face.
“You may use intuition, experience, market awareness, and prayer. You may not interrogate the drivers, bribe the stockers, or claim that the Holy Spirit revealed the price of the Greek yogurt.”
    One Warrior raised her hand.
    “What if He does?”
    Patty didn't blink.
“Then ask Him whether it's on sale.”
    The crowd erupted.
Patty began collecting the five-dollar bets.
Within minutes, the betting pool had reached a level of enthusiasm normally associated with a church potluck when someone announces that there will be homemade pie.
    One participant guessed $87.43.
    Another guessed $143.17.
A third wrote, “Whatever the Lord provides.”
    Patty returned the slip.
“Ma’am, heaven accepts faith. This contest requires a dollar amount.”
A fourth contestant whispered, “I’m betting on Deborah.”
    Patty entered the wager.

🚩 DENNY: HONORARY FLAG MARSHAL, KEEPER OF THE GREEN FLAG, AND MAN OF FAITH
Every great race needs a starting flag, every great event needs a capable official, and every gathering of God's Army of Light™ needs someone who understands that the Lord deserves our best—even when the competition involves broccoli.
    That someone was Denny.
Entrusted with the prestigious position of Flag Marshal, Denny took his assignment seriously. From his elevated flag stand, he had an excellent view of the course, the competitors, and the occasional Warrior who seemed suspiciously interested in the bakery section.
His duties were straightforward: raise the flag, signal the start, monitor the finish, and help ensure that the spirit of good sportsmanship prevailed.
Denny approached the task with enthusiasm, a steady hand, and a heart devoted to serving the Lord and his fellow Warriors.
His official equipment included a green flag for GO, a yellow flag for CAUTION, and a red flag for STOP.
He also kept a fourth flag nearby, just in case the situation called for a little extra inspiration.
When Diana asked him about it, Denny replied, “You never know when an event might need a little more encouragement!”
    Diana nodded thoughtfully.
“That's true, Denny. Especially if someone discovers that the price of organic blueberries has gone up again.”
    Denny smiled.
“Then we'll need both prayer and a calculator.”
And with that, the Flag Marshal was ready.
The crowd admired his dedication, the drivers appreciated his presence, and the entire event benefited from his willingness to serve.
After all, a Flag Marshal's job is to get the race started.
But a man of faith knows that the most important thing is how we run the race—and whom we serve along the way.
Denny was ready to wave that green flag.
And Wally Land was ready for action!

πŸ›’ MEANWHILE, INSIDE WALLY LAND: THE DRIVERS PREPARE FOR THE RACE
At precisely the appointed time, Deborah and TPP began their warm-up laps around the indoor perimeter of the store.
Their shopping carts rattled majestically across the polished floor.
    Their expressions were determined.
    Their smiles were radiant.
Their hands were positioned firmly on the handles.
    And their eyes?
Their eyes were scanning the aisles for nutritional superiority and suspiciously low prices.
Both women waved graciously to their fellow Warriors as they passed.
Deborah gave a royal wave worthy of a queen.
TPP offered a confident nod that suggested she had already calculated the optimal route through dairy, produce, and canned goods.
    The crowd cheered.
    “GO, DEBORAH!”
    “GO, TPP!”
One enthusiastic Soldier yelled, “MAY THE BEST WOMAN WIN!”
    Another corrected her.
    “May the best ingredients win!”
The drivers smiled and continued their laps, warming up their wheels, practicing their turns, and praying for divine strategy.
Deborah whispered, “Lord, give me wisdom.”
TPP whispered, “Lord, give me wisdom, balance, and an unobstructed route to the olive oil.”
A moment later, both women passed the bakery.
    Their heads turned simultaneously.
    Neither spoke.
But the Army of Light knew.
THE FLESH WAS WEAK, AND THE CINNAMON ROLLS WERE STRONG.
    Diana immediately blew her whistle.
    “EYES ON THE COURSE, LADIES!”
    Both drivers snapped forward.
The bakery had survived its first attack.

🎰 THE PENNY ARCADE OF PROPHETIC PROPORTIONS
While the drivers prepared, the Army of Light enjoyed the penny arcade, where games of skill and chance were offered alongside refreshments and innumerable carnival prizes.
One booth offered a chance to win stuffed animals.
Another offered a chance to win inflatables, including a giant giraffe.
A third offered something called “Guess the Number of Beans in the Jar,” which Patty immediately attempted to regulate.
“Is this a separate wagering event?” she demanded.
    The booth attendant looked frightened.
    “It’s a fundraiser.”
    Patty narrowed her eyes.
“Do the beans have assigned values?”
    The attendant fled.
At the petting zoo, a goat attempted to eat a Soldier's program.
The Soldier rescued it and declared, “This animal is clearly under spiritual attack.”
The goat chewed the corner of her sleeve.
Meanwhile, the roller coaster was experiencing a minor operational delay because several Warriors insisted on praying before boarding, during boarding, and after boarding.
One woman emerged from the ride with her hair standing straight up.
    “Praise the Lord!” she shouted.
    Another asked, “Was it good?”
The woman replied, “I saw three colors, remembered every sin I committed in 1987, and forgave my cousin for the potato salad incident.”
The roller coaster operator quietly requested a transfer to the Ferris wheel.

πŸ“£ THE BETTING POOL REACHES UNSANCTIFIED LEVELS OF EXCITEMENT
As race time approached, Patty announced the latest developments in the pre-race betting pool.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have received twenty-seven official guesses. The current average estimate for the combined cart contents is $119.62.”
    The crowd murmured.
“Several contestants believe the carts will contain mostly produce. Others suspect a strong showing from whole grains. One person has wagered that Deborah will purchase twelve avocados.”
    Deborah looked offended.
“I would never buy twelve avocados without checking the price per pound.”
    The crowd roared.
    TPP smiled.
“I have no comment on my grocery strategy.”
    Patty adjusted her glasses.
“That's because we haven't seen your grocery strategy.”
    TPP nodded.
    “Exactly.”
    One Soldier approached Patty privately.
“I'd like to change my guess.”
    “No changes after the deadline.”
“But I just prayed about it.”
“Then you should have prayed before the deadline.”
The Soldier walked away, muttering something about grace and administrative rigidity.
Patty entered the final wager into her ledger.
    She had never been happier.

    TO BE CONTINUED . . . .
